ACCELERAsian Conference, September 29, 2018

The Professional Development Committee of the Boston chapter managed to attract over 100+ participants to their marquee professional development event entitled “AccelerASIAN 2018”.  The keynote for the event, Bill Imada, founder of the marketing firm “IW Group”, gave a heartfelt speech and set the tone for a day of contemplation and growth.  The event took about a year to plan and involved many different skills from project management, marketing, budgeting, speaker relations, and much more.  With the help of a core group of almost 20-30 individuals, the event was executed flawlessly.  An event of this size and quality is an impeccable example of how a diverse group of professionals/friends can work together to achieve something great! For this event, NAAAP Boston secured a new and prestigious sponsor, E&Y, which provided the very attractive and professional venue.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Future Leader Award Scholarships

This year, NAAAP Boston experienced its most successful run of our annual Future Leader Award scholarships yet! Our chapter gave out an unprecedented $20,000 to five well-deserving high school seniors who demonstrated leadership, community service, academic excellence, and financial need. As a result of our dedicated team’s fundraising and sponsorship acquisition efforts, we are able to support the next generation of rising Asian American leaders to achieve their higher education dreams.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
