May 2, 2011 - Today, NAAAP announced its Asian Corporate Rankings: U.S. Edition initiative that determines the Best U.S.-based Companies for Asians to work. The initiative provides organizations with an excellent opportunity to stand out from their peers in terms of their relationships and interactions with Asian Americans.
The catalyst for this initiative arose from the need for a comprehensive assessment with unbiased methods of evaluation. Unlike most ‘pay-to-play’ surveys, the Asian Corporate Rankings will be handled by an independent, third party research group—Asian American IQ (AAIQ). AAIQ is sponsored by Cal State Fullerton’s Center for Research on Employment and the Workforce (CREW) and Spectrum Knowledge.
The Asian Corporate Rankings: U.S. Edition Report will feature listings of the top companies providing the best experience for Asians in several categories, some examples of which are: Best Overall, Best Supply Chain Diversity, Most Employee Friendly, Best Asian Employee Resource Group, Best Community Involvement. Top performers will be notified and invited to be recognized at the 25th Annual NAAAP Convention and Diversity Career Fair presented by Macy's on Aug. 11 - 13, 2011 in Boston.
Any privately or publicly held corporation, domestic or global, based in the United States may participate in the 2011 Rankings. Corporations will be given a multiple page questionnaire which may be completed by the Diversity Officer, Inclusion Officer or a Human Resources Executive. Some corporations are invited; others may self-nominate to participate. There is no fee to participate. More information is available at NAAAP's webpage and by contacting Initiative Manager, Mr. Arnab Som at corporaterankings@naaap.org. Questionnaires should be returned by June 30, 2011.
