NAAAP congratulates its Dallas-Ft. Worth chapter on a successful Women In NAAAP (WIN!) conference on September 24, 2011 at the jcpenney corporate headquarters in Plano, Texas.
Sponsored by jcpenney, Accenture, Raytheon, Clear Channel,Sodexo, and Mayrath & Company, P.C., the regional WIN! conference presented workshops and three keynote speakers for more than 130 attendees.
The conference began with Kathryn Collins, VP of Associate Recruitment and Inclusion & Diversity with jcpenney, making the opening keynote speech welcoming attendees. Anne Doyle, a former women's sport journalist, presented the lunch time keynote and wrote of her conference experience on her blog. The conference ended with Kathleen Wu, a partner with the law firm, Andrews & Kurth LLP, delivering the closing keynote speech.
Throughout the day, participants enjoyed various workshops that included "Survive and Thrive Through Networking", "Achieving Full Throttle Success Personally and Professionally”, and a fashion show to demonstrate appropriate and stylish workplace attire where several NAAAP members and jcpenney associates served as models.
