NEW YORK, NEW YORK – NAAAP is pleased to announce that ALIST Magazine has launched its website.  ALIST’s inaugural digital issue is available online at

ALIST Magazine is a quarterly, non-profit magazine with profiles of Asian American and Asian Canadian leadership, success, professionalism and entrepreneurship.

The print magazine will debut with Survivor alumnus Yul Kwon as the cover at the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) National Convention on August 23-25, 2012, in New York, New York.

In its inaugural issue, ALIST Magazine features Kwon’s achievements on a civic and public platform as an inspiration for Asians and Asian Americans in media. Kwon, first introduced as a contestant and winner on Survivor, has since then become the host of TV series America Revealed on PBS and the anchor for LinkAsia on LinkTV.

“What’s encouraging to me is the increased interest in politics and media in the last few years,” said Kwon. “A lot of [Asian Americans] coming together…we now need to work together with other groups.”

The ALIST media network will contain additional stories, guest columns by Asian American writers, multi-media links, and lists!  The magazine will be made available in print nationwide to subscribers and through NAAAP chapters.  Subscription information will be available at the Convention and online at soon.

The magazine is funded by NAAAP, which celebrates its 30 years of excellence in 2012.  ALIST Executive Editor Chuan Tsay leads ALIST’s volunteer staff to offer Asian Americans a resource that features success stories and important issues that affect the Asian American professional.
