We had to pleasure of introducing Gil Gido during our 6th Webinar series instalment on April 22nd, 2010 entitled: “NING: Next Generation Social Media”, where he presented a walkthrough of this new-age social networking online tool and how it helps businesses and associations set up a community for collaboration and retaining relationships. He illustrated two examples, one of his client Vibrant Teams and another for our own Women in NAAAP! program.

About GIL GIDO
Gil is a Principal Consultant with Ulysses' Social Media Marketing Company in Seattle, Wa. His company helps small and medium businesses adopt social media technologies, write up policies and executes social media marketing campaigns. Previous to starting his own business, he was a Program Manager at Microsoft Corporation providing business solutions that run Microsoft Corporation’s Information Technology group. While at Microsoft he actively led the Microsoft Asian Professional Society (MAPS) an organization fitted to help Asians at Microsoft become future leaders.
Gil is a first generation Filipino and a graduate of the University of Illinois @ Chicago with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biochemistry. He is the President of the Seattle Chapter of the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) and volunteers his time supporting local organizations such as the Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) and the Greater Seattle Business Association (GSBA). In his spare time, he likes to travel and goes on hikes accompanied by his dog, Ulysses.
