  • The “Taking Charge of your Career Success” Conference Series was held on July 20th.  It was a lively and informative day focused on “Strategies for Communicating Effectively.”  The sold-out conference was attended by 120 career-minded professionals interested in the experience of Asians advancing in America, and especially in honing effective communication skills.
  • The 2nd Annual Leadership Forum was held on September 14th. Attended by over 300 guests, the Leadership Forum was a day for professional networking and job hunting at the concurrent career and information fair. Attendees also enjoyed powerful talks delivered by speakers comprised of senior executives from Boston’s corporate sponsors, including State Street Corporation, MassMutual Financial Group, Accenture, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, and National Grid. The forum even garnered a write-up in the only Chinese-English bilingual in the New England region, Sampan.

  • The NAAAP Boston Future Leader Award is the premier scholarship for Asian American high school students in the Greater Boston area.  The purpose of the award is to recognize and reward aspiring leaders in the Asian American community.  NAAAP Boston recognized Dan Minh Chu, Tuan Ho, and Kasey Shen as the three recipients of the 2013 Future Leader Award on May 15th. These three exceptional students received a total of $15,000 of scholarships at the annual scholarship gala.
