SUMMARY:Leadership Convention 2022 Kick-Off Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Leadership Convention is NAAAP’s national marquee annual event.  Over the past two decades\, we have built an increasingly  successful model for our conference that mixes educational sessions\, keynotes\, and networking in the venue and “on the town.’ Our focus is on leadership development\, promoting AAPI issues in the workforce and community\, and NAAAP’s national program areas : ERG Leadership Training\, Women in NAAAP\, Self-Care and Wellness\, and PRIDE.  In 2020\, we delivered 5 hours of virtual content with two concurrent tracks and in 2021\, we delivered a total of 16 hours of virtual content. It’s time to get back to an in-person convention. \nWe’re hopeful to have an in-person convention on Thursday\, August 11 – Sunday\, August 14\, 2022\, at the Capital Hilton\, 1001 16th Street NW\, Washington\, DC 20001. We’ll be celebrating NAAAP’s 40th Anniversary and the 36th Annual Convention. \nWhere do you fit in?!  We are seeking members of a core planning team from around the country who have experience planning conferences.  We are also recruiting volunteers to fill specific planning roles of sponsorship\, marketing\, registration\, web content\, hospitality\, speaker liaison\, vendor management\, finance and accounting.  Lastly\, we are taking names for people who would like to volunteer on-site at the event.  Planning meetings will be virtual/online.
