Presenter: Christie Marcella, Connect

With all the talk about DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion), it’s hard to think you have time to invest in it when you are managing a small team or a small business. You don’t have budgets to hire DEI officers, or have enough bandwidth to do more. But, DEI is really about creating a sense of belonging for everyone you work with, and that may not require anything new, just a new way of engaging with others. In this session we will:

  • Create a shared understanding of DEI and why it matters

  • Hear from non-profit, public sector and small business professionals on what DEI looks like from their perspective

  • Engage in facilitated conversations and activities so you walk away with tools to build a sense of belonging as a leader
